Welcome to the Spring 2021 season!
The league is hard at work putting the finishing touches on preparations for what we expect to be a great year down at the complex. The fields are in tremendous shape and everyone is excited to be getting back to baseball.
Opening Day for Majors division is scheduled for Saturday April 10th.
All other divisions (Tee Ball, Instructional, and Minors) are scheduled to open on the weekend of April 24th-25th.
We know most of you all are eager to hear about what to expect from the season, and also team assignments and practice and game schedules. Those will be announced in the coming week, and once all team managers receive their rosters they will be in touch with their teams to welcome them on to the season and start to arrange practices.
These are the expected formats of our Tee Ball, Instructional, and Minors Divisions (subject to change):
Tee Ball
- We plan to have 20 tee ball teams, with 10-12 players per team
- Tee Ball will play on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings
- Each team will play 10 games between April 25 - June 13.
- Each team will have at least 2 scheduled team activities per week
- Games will last 3 full innings or 1 hour - whichever comes first
- During games, defensive players will rotate between playing the field and practice stations in the outfield
Instructional
- We plan to have 12 instructional teams, with 12-13 players per team
- Instructional will play on Saturdays (usually mornings from 9am - 1pm, but also a night game) and once during the week
- Each team will play a total of 12 games between April 24th and June 12th.
- Team practices are scheduled and organized by each team individually, based on availability of coaches, players, and fields
- Games will last no more than 6 innings or 90 minutes - whichever comes first
- Each game will include 3 innings off of a tee, followed by 3 innings of kid pitching
Minors
- We plan to have 9 minors teams, with 12-13 players per team
- Minors will play on Saturdays (usually afternoons) and once during the week
- Each team will play a total of 14 games between April 24th and June 12th
- Team practices are scheduled and organized by each team individually, based on availability of coaches, players, and fields
- Minors offers full player-pitch competition with umpires, playoffs, and a championship series.
