Parkway Little League is excited to announce registration and tryouts for the 2024 summer travel program.

The Parkway summer travel program is open to any player aged 7-12 who participated the Instructional, Minors, or Major divisions in Spring 2024.

8 Year Olds - Two teams will be selected. Will compete in the Friendship League (8 regular season games & playoffs) which runs from late June through the end of July. 8A will also compete in the Stoughton Youth Baseball Tournament June 20-23 and the Mayor's Cup July 11-14. Little League aged 7 and 8 year olds may try out. 

9, 10, and 11 Year Olds - Two teams will be selected. A level teams will be tournament based, competing in up to 4 weekend tournaments starting in mid June, with some practices during weekday evenings. B level teams will compete in the Suburban League, which plays 10 regular season weekday games starting in late June and running through the beginning of August.

12 Year Olds - Up to two teams may be selected depending on registration numbers. Teams will compete in the Suburban League, which plays 10 regular season weekday games starting in late June and running through the beginning of August.

This is a tryout-based program due to the limited number of roster spots available. Although the goal is to accommodate as many players as possible, if interest exceeds capacity then there may be circumstances where not everyone who registers is selected onto a team. In this event, a refund will be issued and the player will be added to a wait list in the event a space becomes available in the future.

Players will be evaluated and selected based on both regular season performance and their performance in tryouts.

Open registration will take place between the following dates:

Tee Ball: 9/1/23 - 2/29/24 - $200

Instructional: 9/1/23 - 1/31/24 - $250

Minors: 9/1/23 - 1/31/24 - $250

Majors: 9/1/23 - 1/31/24 - $325

Once the open registration period has passed for each division, a maximum number of teams and enrollments will be set in order to build rosters and schedules, establish coaches, and order uniforms and equipment. At this time, a late registration period will commence and any remaining spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once enrollment in a given division is full, players can opt to join the wait list.

Fees for each division during the late registration period increase by $50 per player.

Registration is open to all players who live or attend school within the Parkway Little League boundary and who are born between 9/1/2011 and 8/31/2020.

Eligibility for the Majors division is by tryout only. There is not a separate tryout registration - players must be registered for the season in order to tryout. Tryout lists will be generated based on players who are registered for the Majors division and who were not selected onto a Majors division team in a previous year. If a player is not selected onto a Majors team in the fall, their registration will transfer over to the Minors division and a refund of excess registration fees will be issued.

Players participating in the Minors, Instructional, and Tee Ball divisions will be assigned to teams in the Spring once open registration has closed. Typically the Opening Day Parade occurs on the first or second Saturday in April. Minors, Instructional, and Tee Ball games start on the weekend at the end of April vacation week. Players should expect to learn their team assignments and begin practicing with their teams by early April.
